The location is idyllic. The snow falls from the sky in thick flakes, wrapping everything in a white blanket. Here and there, you’ll find small Alpine huts, and in the middle of it all, the Hotel Steger-Dellai – in absolute tranquillity and yet directly in the winter action. The modern lifts and the perfectly groomed
slopes are right by the hotel, join the
cross-country ski trail right outside the door and set off for
winter hiking or snowshoeing right after breakfast. No wonder Paula Steger already mastered the approximately 1,500-metre ascent in the 1920s in order to make fabulous turns in the powder snow afterwards. A winter holiday on the Seiser Alm is a special kind of time-out.
